Courses are taught by faculty from DePaul College of Law and Masaryk University in the Czech Republic. Faculty from the host institution may also guest lecture on various aspects of Czech and EU law.
The following courses will be offered:
Credits: Participants earn five (5) credit hours upon successful completion of all coursework. Acceptance of any credit or grade for any course taken in the program is subject to determination by the student's home school.
Enrollment: There are typically between 10 and 20 students who participate in the program, equally divided between students from DePaul and other U.S. law schools.
Host Institution: Our host institution is the University of New York in Prague, 72 Legorova, Prague, Czech Republic. Students have full access to the facilities and services of the host institution, including modern classrooms, library, internet and staff support. The facilities are accessible to persons with disabilities as are most of Prague and the Czech Republic.
Tours: The program includes an overnight trip to Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic, where students visit the Supreme Administrative Court and the Constitutional Court. In Prague, visits include a local court and the Czech Senate, among others.
