Career Services Update: Spotlight on Networking
Networking is a tried and true job search tool, yet it can strike fear in the hearts of even the most extroverted of job seekers. Networking requires you to communicate your needs and interests to others, but networking is not about asking for a job. Rather, by networking, you are gathering information, marketing your credentials, and building up your contact pool. Through networking, you learn about existing jobs, hidden employment opportunities, and potential openings. You also put your face before the individuals seeking someone with your credentials, and the individuals who know them. Recognizing the value of networking, however, does not necessarily make it easier to do. Here are some things to keep in mind
We encourage anyone looking to change jobs or careers to visit our web site and our job search site for more information on how Law Career Services can help!
