Giving to DePaul University College of Law
Private funding from alumni, friends, corporations and foundations is essential to enhancing the College of Law's ability to fulfill its Vincentian mission of providing access to educational opportunities for individuals that will allow them to participate in work that promotes the social, economic, cultural and ethical quality of life in the Chicago metropolitan area and beyond. Supporters of the College of Law range from recent graduates starting their first jobs, to established leaders in the legal field, to people who have used their law degrees as stepping-stones toward other professions.
While gifts come in all sizes, each contribution benefits the College of Law tremendously and is greatly appreciated.
Your contributions
- Create scholarships that reward students for excellence in the classroom and attract better students, thereby raising academic standards and enhancing the College's reputation;
- Establish named Professorships and Distinguished Research Professorships, enabling the College to retain and expand its excellent faculty;
- Keep pace with technology and maintain its dedication to excellence in teaching; and
- Support areas of curricular focus that are magnets for students who have an interest in practicing areas of law that are points of pride, such as the Health Law Program and Intellectual Property Law Program, for the College of Law.
Of course, unrestricted gifts to the Fund for Law are another important type of contribution and provide the financial flexibility that the College needs to address its most pressing needs and top priorities. Indeed, unrestricted donations are essential to maintaining excellence in the face of a rapidly changing world.
