Ernie Trichler was named one of Florida's Rising Stars in 2009 in the area of personal injury defense. He is the managing shareholder of Trichler Law Center, P.A., located in Tampa, Florida. Trichler Law Center primarily represents state and national clients in medical negligence, long term care, and general liability defense cases.
Ilyce Shugall became a partner at Van Der Hout, Brigagliano & Nightingale, LLP in San Francisco in January 2009
Justin G. Randolph's law practice is celebrating its fifth year serving Chicago area residents with employment discrimination cases and handling immigration cases for clients all over the world.
Jason K. Schmitz is a partner in the Chicago office of Mayer Brown LLP, where he practices intellectual property law.
Jay E. Stewart was recently appointed senior counsel for the State of Illinois Office of the Governor. In this capacity, he will provide legal counsel to the governor and assist the general counsel. He previously was the executive director of the Better Government Association.
Andrew Stoltmann recovered $2.9 million on behalf of his clients in a settlement with ING Financial Partners. The lawsuit involved a decade-long ponzi scheme run by two stockholders of ING Financial Partners in Sterling, Ill.
Barry S. Goldberg was elected to serve as president of the Decalogue Society of Lawyers for the 2009-2010 year. Barry and the rest of the officers and the board of the Society will be installed at the Society's 75th Annual Installation Dinner on June 30, 2009. Susan J. Freed was named Iowa Chiropractic Society (ICS) Champion of Chiropractic at the annual convention. She is the ICS legal counsel and an attorney at the Davis Brown Law Firm in Des Moines, Iowa. Susan has also co-authored the Employee Benefits Section of the Iowa Bar Association's Business Law Manual and wrote the Employee Benefit Section for the Iowa Human Resources Manual for the Iowa Association of Business and Undustry. She also taught a Health Law course at the Drake University Law School for four years.
