Law Review, Journals & Digests

Reflecting the interest and energy of its students and the commitment of the College of Law to help them develop vital professional skills, DePaul has four student-edited law journals in addition to its traditional law review. These publications expose students to a range of issues in specialized areas of law, building their substantive knowledge as well as their research, writing and editorial skills-all of which are crucial for success in the profession. Few schools can match the remarkable variety of opportunities DePaul provides for its students to contribute to legal scholarship.

DePaul Law Review

Law Review is DePaul's traditional journal. Legal scholars, judges and practicing attorneys submit articles to its student board of editors, which select and edit the best submissions. Law Review members also contribute articles that examine recent prominent cases and noteworthy developments in the law. Election to the Law Review board of editors is one of the highest honors a student can receive in their law school career, and editors typically are in great demand among prospective employers.

DePaul's other student-edited journals include:

  • Business & Commercial Law Journal
  • Journal of Health Care Law
  • Journal of Art & Entertainment Law

Students also write and edit for the International Law Digest, Environmental Law Digest and Women's Law Digest-publications that were created by DePaul law students and are increasingly garnering attention from the practicing bar.
