Lexis and WestLaw

Both Lexis and WestLaw offer extensive on-line career databases for job hunters. Access to these career databases is free. The Alumni Job Bulletin includes information about how to access the databases or alumni may pick up information in Law Career Services. Lexis permits unemployed graduates to access its career databases by using an ID number which changes monthly and is published in the Alumni Job Bulletin or is available by calling the Law Career Services Office. WestLaw allows access to its career databases to both employed and unemployed graduates. During the year immediately following graduation, your individual student WestLaw ID remains active. Thereafter, access is through an ID number available from Law Career Services and published in the Alumni Job Bulletin.
