Meet the Staff
Law Career Services Career Advisors are all law school graduates with varying practice backgrounds. Each is available for scheduled appointments to assist students with résumés, cover letters, interview skills, job search strategies, mock interviews, and a wide range of other services. Sample résumés and cover letters, available for reference when drafting résumés and cover letters, and can found in the Symplicity Document Library. Assistant Dean and Director Bill Chamberlain, J.D.
Bill joined DePaul from Northwestern University School of Law where he was the Assistant Dean for Career Strategy. Prior to Northwestern, Bill headed up the career offices at The University of North Carolina School of Law and at The John Marshall Law School. Bill is an alumnus of Northwestern and practiced law for Schiff Hardin in Chicago and for The City of Chicago Law Department prior to entering the career services field. He is an active member of NALP, the Association for Legal Career Professionals, where he served on the Board of Directors. He is a frequent contributor to the NALP Bulletin and writes a bi-monthly column for the National Law Journal. Bill received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Cornell University. At DePaul, Bill also will be teaching in the LARC program. When Bill is not busy assisting students and alumni with their job searches, he is a local theatre and musical theatre performer.
Associate Director of Public Service Law Alisa M. Rosales
Alisa M. Rosales is the Associate Director of Public Service Law, and specializes in assisting students and alumni with diverse public sector career development. Ms. Rosales also provides career development support to students and alumni as an Alumni Sharing Knowledge (ASK) mentor and has presented on various social media and student debt issues to various University and community constituencies. She currently serves on the NALP Regional Resource Council and the PSJD Advisory Board. She is the past Chair of the NALP Public Service Section, and has served the Section in various Vice Chair roles. Ms. Rosales also launched the Chicago Area Law School Consortium (CALSC) Public Interest Committee, serving as its inaugural Chair. She is an alumna of the University of Nebraska College of Law, where she graduated as a member of the Order of Barristers and selected as the Alumni Council Outstanding Student. While in law school, she served the American Bar Association Law Student Division in several capacities, earning the Silver Key Award for her contributions. Alisa is also a DePaul alumna, and holds a Master of Science in Public Service Management from the School of Public Service, where she was also a Public Service Fellow in Spring 2012. Ms. Rosales is a certified mediator and is licensed to practice law in Missouri.
Assistant Director Bonnie I. Tunick, J.D.
Assistant Director Tunick earned her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law where she served on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology and the Student Bar Association as a Special Prosecutor for Honor Code Violations. She has worked as an attorney in large and small law firms, as senior in-house counsel for a Fortune 100 company (Abbott Laboratories, specializing in employment, safety & health, and securities), for a federal government agency (Social Security Disability Unit), and as a sole practitioner. She also founded and ran a successful national public service charity (Fairygodmother Foundation) and still consults for others starting their own. Before receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Illinois at Champaign, she traveled abroad extensively to study and experience diverse cultures. Ms. Tunick is an arbitrator, award-winning mediator, and published author/photographer. She was designated "most user-friendly lawyer" by her Abbott clients and was nominated for the following DePaul University-wide awards: 2012 "Women of Spirit and Action," 2012 Student Supervisor of the Year, and 2011 Gerald Paetsch Academic Advising Award for exceptional advising in the University Community. Ms. Tunick currently serves as Chair of the Chicago Area Law School Consortium (CALSC), an organization of law career services professionals from the eleven "Chicago area" law schools working together to promote best practices amongst law career services offices and organize annual professional development and job search events for law students and employers.
Assistant Director of Recruiting Elizabeth Boe, J.D.
Assistant Director of Recruiting Ms. Boe directs all stages of employer interview programs. Ms. Boe received her J.D. from DePaul with a Specialization Certificate in International and Comparative Law. While in law school, she served as the Co-President of the Women's Law Caucus and the Public Interest Law Association, co-chaired PILA's Auction Board, and was a member of the Center for Public Interest Law Committee receiving the Distinguished Senior Service Award and Chancellor's Award for Service. She worked at the Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago specializing in elder consumer protection issues, Chicago Public Schools engaging with compliance and ethics matters, and in Law Career Services as a Public Interest Coordinator. Ms. Boe graduated cum laude from Beloit College with a B.A. in International Relations and a minor in Religious Studies. During her time at Beloit, Ms. Boe was employed as a Career Advisor for the Office of Field and Career Services and interned for the L.I.F.T. bilingual charter school.
Assistant Director, Alumni & Student Counseling Kevin Agnew, J.D.
Kevin joined DePaul after 5 years working as a litigation attorney in both the public and private sectors. Kevin began his legal career at Latham & Watkins, LLP working on complex commercial litigation cases. Kevin also served as the chairman of the firm's Asylum Law Committee and represented numerous refugees. After his time at Latham & Watkins, Kevin worked as the Assistant Regional Counsel for the Social Security Administration, where he handled federal district and circuit court appellate litigation matters. Kevin is a graduate of Northwestern University School of Law and was a member of the school's Law Review. He was the recipient of a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship and earned his Master's degree in International Politics from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Kevin received his Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Iowa and was captain of the Iowa Men's Gymnastics team. When Kevin is not advising students and alumni, you will find him writing or hiking.
Administrative Assistant Cindy Grimaud
Administrative Assistant Ms. Grimaud supports Law Career Services by working on various projects and programs. She also develops student and employer databases, coordinates student employment listings and is available to introduce office facilities to prospective students, current students and alumni. She assists in all aspects of the office administration. Before joining Career Services, Ms. Grimaud worked in a variety of accounting positions for Loyola University Chicago, Loyola's credit union and R.R. Donnelley. She has a B.S. in Accounting from Northern Illinois University.
