Gerstenblith is director of the College of Law’s Program in Cultural Heritage Law and faculty advisor to the Journal of Art, Technology and Intellectual Property Law. She is founding president of the Lawyers’ Committee for Cultural Heritage Preservation. From 1995 to 2002, she served as editor in chief of the International Journal of Cultural Property and, from 2000 to 2003, was a member of the United States Cultural Property Advisory Committee. Gerstenblith received a doctorate in art history and anthropology from Harvard University and earned her law degree from Northwestern University.
Livingston is a graduate of Chicago’s renowned Second City Conservatory Program in Improvisational Comedy, where she studied with legendary instructors Don DePollo and Martin de Maat. She received her law degree and a master’s degree in theater arts from the University of Minnesota, as well as an LL.M. from the University of Illinois. Livingston is currently doing research on the copyrightability of a director’s staging of a play, and she is co-director of the College of Law’s LL.M. in intellectual property.
