Christine GalbraithProfessor Galbraith joined the University of Maine School of Law faculty in 2001. She teaches Contracts and Sales, as well as a wide variety of courses in the intellectual property field, including Copyright Law, Introduction to Intellectual Property, Internet Law, and International Intellectual Property.

Professor Galbraith graduated with high honors from the University of Illinois College of Law, where she also obtained her undergraduate degree in Broadcast Journalism. Following law school, Professor Galbraith practiced law in Chicago, most recently at McDermott, Will & Emery where she both litigated cases and counseled clients on a full range of domestic and international intellectual property matters.

Professor Galbraith previously taught Contracts, Copyright Law, and International Intellectual Property Law as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Law. Professor Galbraith focuses her scholarship on intellectual property, particularly issues related to the Internet and the control of information. Her articles have appeared in such publications as the Boston College Law Review, Maryland Law Review, Denver University Law Review, Journal of Intellectual Property Law, and the Mississippi Law Journal.
