Seminars & Conferences

The Center organizes and presents seminars for capital defense lawyers that feature nationally recognized authorities on such topics as trial and mitigation investigation, jury decision-making and selection, lawyer stress in the capital defense arena, and forensic pathology. The Illinois Supreme Court Committee certifies many of the programs for attorneys seeking to become qualified to first-chair an Illinois capital case, and attorneys from across the country attend the programs.

Clarence Darrow Death Penalty Defense College

The Clarence Darrow Death Penalty Defense College is an intensive, five-day long, bring-your-own case training program for capital defense attorneys with active cases that takes place each May. Please follow the links to the left for more information.
