International Fellows Program
The International Fellows Program allows foreign graduate and postgraduate students to spend time at the Institute to carry out scholarly research in international human rights law. Residence may range from six weeks to one year, with no more than four International Fellows in residence at any one time. International Fellows are encouraged to participate in the life of the Institute and may, with the permission of the relevant faculty member, audit classes relating to their research agenda.
International Fellows are not charged tuition or fees while they are in residence, but in recognition of their Fellowship, they are expected to acknowledge their visit to the Institute in any publications resulting from or created during the term of their stay at the Institute. They are also encouraged to make at least one public presentation of their work in a public forum or roundtable hosted by the Institute.
International Fellows are selected three times annually, no later than May 1st, October 1st, and March 1st for the next semester following that date. Prospective International Fellows should submit a formal application, including a research statement identifying the work they intend to do while in residence and a statement as to why a fellowship affiliation with the Institute would assist the progress of this work. They should also include a copy of their CV and identify three references supporting their application.
