Biography

Stephan Landsman is a nationally recognized expert on the civil jury system, and through his on-going study of the American jury, has become a leader in applying social science methods to legal problems. He is a sought-after speaker at professional conferences and symposia, and among his recent writings are empirical and historical pieces regarding the jury, as well as an examination of legal responses to human rights abuses. He is presently at work on a book about a series of famous Holocaust trials. He has successfully advocated in the Supreme Court of the United States, and is a member of the leadership of the American Bar Association Litigation Section.
