Search the US Code, the Code of Federal Regulations, the Federal Register, the Congressional Record, Congressional Reports, Hearings, and other documents. Other resources include the Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (formerly the Monthly Catalog of Government Publications). The House of Representatives Office of Law Revision Counsel also offers a downloadable version of the United States Code.

Aside from executive documents availabe through links on the left column of the page, the site features links to every cabinet level departments and agencies. The United States Supreme Court

The Court's official website. It contains up-to-date orders, argument schedules, argument transcripts, opinions, and a library of bound US Reports starting with volume 502 in PDF format. The Oyez Project, Findlaw and Cornell's Legal Information Institute have extensive archives of Supreme Court materials. Briefs are available from a variety of sources. The Court links to the ABA which hosts merit briefs beginning with the 2003-2004 Term.

The U. S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit

The court's official web site. The site features opinions, briefs, oral arguments (MP3 audio format), practice forms (links from main page), the Practitioner's Handbook For Appeals 2003 Edition, and Criminal and draft Civil Jury Instructions.

The U.S.District Court for the Northern District of Illinois

The court's official web site. It features links to forms, recent opinions, the Attorney's Guide for Employment Discrimination Cases (revised March, 2005), the Federal Court Prison Litigation Project Handbook (revised), the Grand Jury Foreperson's Handbook, and The Americans With Disabilities Act and The Age Discrimination In Employment Act Handbook (revised April, 2005). There is also a page of links to other legal resources related to federal practice in Illinois and the Seventh Circuit.
