It is with great honor and excitement that we announce the 13th Annual National Latina/o Law Student Association Conference will be held in Chicago on Sept. 24-27, 2009. The Latino Law Student Association at DePaul University College of Law submitted the winning proposal and is proud to bring this prestigious event to Chicago for the first time.
The weekend-long conference will bring together 400-600 law students, professors and prominent community members from all regions of the country. Attendees will have a variety of workshops, panel discussions and cultural festivities to choose from. Employers, meanwhile, will have an opportunity to meet directly with some of the country’s brightest law students and future leaders at the conference career expo.
The National Latina/o Law Student Association is a not-for-profit corporation that supports the development of a service-oriented Latino legal community in the U.S. The theme of this year's NLLSA conference, "La Fuerza del Cambio, La Esperanza del Futuro," reflects our desire to integrate various types of diversity into the event: diversity in thought, political ideals, culture, and values. We believe this attitude closely mirrors the spirit of Chicago and we are excited to have this opportunity to showcase the city, as well as its companies and firms.
We would now like to invite you to be a part of the 13th Annual National Latina/o Law Student Conference to ensure its success and visibility. Attached you will find a list of sponsorship opportunities.
Supporting this pivotal event will publicly showcase to a national audience your commitment to diversity. It will also give your company a chance to communicate its message to young Latino professionals from all over the U.S. We hope that you are as excited as we are about this annual event, and we look forward to working with you in hosting a successful conference.
