Accommodations
Students are responsible for securing their own housing. Many furnished rental apartments of varying sizes and price levels are available through local real estate agencies as well as through online listings. There will also be dormitory-style housing available within walking distance of the University. Please contact the program director, Professor Alberto R. Coll, if you are interested in this option.
Rates for dormitory accommodations (simple dormitory-style room, with breakfast, no kitchen facilities) at a college dormitory within walking distance of the university are as follows:

Depending on the type of accommodations selected, applicants should budget between $2,200 and $2,700 for lodging and meal expenses.
The university is located in the Chamberi District and is within walking distance of three subway lines. Subway stops include: Arguelles,Moncloa, San Bernardo and Ventura Rodriguez. The university’s address is Calle Alberto Aguilera #23.

The above costs do not include airfare to Madrid or the cost of additional excursions students may wish to take.
Financial Aid: Students may be eligible for financial aid through the appropriate office at their home school.
Travel to Madrid
Airfare: Students must arrange and purchase air transportation between the U.S. and Madrid. DePaul staff will forward information about agencies that specialize in student travel to interested participants.
Passports: Every participant must obtain a valid passport. U.S. citizens with valid passports do not need visas to enter any member state of the European Union.
Insurance and Liability: DePaul University is not responsible for personal injury or illness or for the loss or damage of property that may occur during the program. Every participant must have a health insurance policy in effect for the duration of the program.

Travel Advisories: Applicants will be notified of any relevant U.S. State Department travel advisories.
