Accommodations

SydneyStudents will reside in modern dormitories on the UNSW campus. Students will have access to the university’s library and Internet service, as well as to its state-of-the-art athletic facilities.

In addition to university cafeterias and on-site food franchises, the area surrounding the university and the city of Sydney contain a wide variety of restaurants at a variety of price ranges.

Financial Aid: Students may be eligible for financial aid through their home schools.

Travel to Sydney

Airfare: Students must arrange and purchase air transportation between the U.S. and Sydney. DePaul staff will forward information about agencies that specialize in student travel to interested participants. UNSW is a 10-minute cab ride from the Sydney international airport.

Passports and Visas: Every participant must obtain a valid passport and a visa to enter Australia. Visas cost approximately $25 and can be obtained online, by phone when purchasing airline tickets, or at the U.S. airport upon departure. It’s best to purchase a visa when purchasing airline tickets.

Insurance and Liability: DePaul University is not responsible for personal injury or illness or the loss or damage of property that may occur during the program. Every participant must have a health insurance policy in effect throughout the program.

Persons with Disabilities: Australia’s laws pertaining to access for people with disabilities are similar to those in the United States.
