DePaul University College of Law
Journal of Art, Technology & Intellectual Property Law

The DePaul Journal of Art, Technology & Intellectual Property Law (JATIP), formerly known as the DePaul Journal of Art & Entertainment Law, is a student-edited national law journal established by the DePaul University College of Law in 1991.  In the words of Professor John C. Roberts, the presiding Dean of DePaul University College of Law during the Journal's inagural issue, "As in so many other areas of our national life, law and legal issues pervade the arts world.  We hope to present these issues in a sophisticated, yet accessible style, so that the new journal can find a wide audience.  In that way we hope that it will become not only an excellent educational tool for law students at DePaul but a useful one as well in the Chicago and national arts communities."  And now with the addition of technology and intellectual property law into the Journal's breadth, we hope to expand our audience to encompass students, scholars, and pactioners in all of the creative and practical arts.

The Journal publishes two issues a year, and starting in the Fall of 2008 will publish three issues a year. This third issue will be devoted to the publication of papers presented at a symposium sponsored by the JATIP.
