DePaul University College of Law
DePaul Business & Commercial Law Journal
About the Journal

The DePaul Business & Commercial Law Journal was created through the merger of the former DePaul Business Law Journal published by DePaul University College of Law and the Commercial Law Journal published the Commercial Law League of America (CLLA).

Prior to the merger, the CLLA had been publishing articles focused on commercial and bankruptcy law topics for nearly 100 years. The DePaul Business Law Journal had been publishing articles focused on business and the law. 2002-2003 marked the successful merger of these two independently successful journals. The current Journal is funded in part and advised by both DePaul University College of Law and the CLLA.

The CLLA is the oldest organization of attorneys and other experts in credit and finance actively engaged in the fields of commercial law, bankruptcy and reorganizations. The CLLA was founded in 1895 and has a membership of individuals all over the United States and dozens of other countries. The CLLA sponsors the American Board of Certification (ABC), which is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the public and improving the quality of the bankruptcy and creditors' rights law bars. The CLLA Member Practice Sections include Bankruptcy, Creditors' Rights, Commercial Collection Agency and Young Members.
