The DePaul Journal of Health Care Law
HLJ membership is an extraordinary experience that helps members
strengthen their research, writing, and editing skills, while also
proving attractive to employers. HLJ members have various
responsibilities throughout the publication process, and membership
requires a significant time commitment.
The Editorial Board:
The Editorial Board consists of staff writers from a prior year. The
Board is responsible for producing high quality Journal issues for the
coming school year, and providing leadership for the Journal.
Staff Writers:
Staff writers must complete cite-checking assignments. Staff writers also write papers on a health law topic of their choice, which are considered for publication in the Journal. In addition, staff writers have the opportunity to be selected as Editorial Board members the following year. Editors earn two (2) credits for their service per term.
Typically the Journal holds one or more Write-On Competitions, open to 2Ls and 3Ls. The Journal is dedicated to providing a fun, challenging, and accepting environment for its members, and we encourage you to participate in our Write-On Competition. For more information, please refer to the Write-On Competition page.
