Sarah Karr
Executive Justice, National Appellate Coordinator

I am originally from Lombard, Illinois. I attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and graduated in 2000 with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism. After working for 3 years at a publishing company, I decided to go back to school and entered law school at DePaul. I am interested in criminal law and have clerked at the Cook County State's Attorney's Office since May 2004. Last spring I was a quarterfinalist at the National Juvenile Law Moot Court Competition with my partner, Crystal Spivey. Please feel free to email me with any questions.

Jeff Salas
Associate Justice, Intramural Coordinator

Jeff is a third year law student and is a second year member of the Moot Court Society. He is also a graduate of Carthage College with a degree in Economics. Hailing from Kenosha, Wisconsin, Jeff brings an air of brevity to the often too serious Moot Court office. He is interested in pursuing a Securities Law career, and currently works for Krislov & Associates, Ltd.

Heather Kent
Associate Justice, Trial Team Coordinator

My name is Heather Kent and I am the Moot Court Trial Team Coordinator. I was born and raised on the North Side of Chicago in Rogers Park. I went to St. Ignatius College Prep for high school and then went to Providence College for my undergraduate years. I received my BA in Political Science. Before starting law school I took a year off to work at the Cook County State's Attorney's Office. This past summer I worked at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois. Becoming a member of the Trial Team has been the defining moment in my law school career. The time that I have spent on Trial Team combined with my work experience at both the state and federal levels has left little doubt in my mind that I want to be a trial attorney.

Tim Koppang
Associate Justice, Secretary

Originally from the suburb of Lombard, Illinois, I attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign to earn my undergraduate degree. I majored in English Literature as well as Creative Writing. I also earned a minor in Computer Science. Since coming to DePaul I've been fortunate enough to gain experience as a summer associate and clerk for two Chicago law firms. My legal interests include intellectual property and litigation generally.

Raf Bombino
Associate Justice, Treasurer

My name is Rafael Bombino and I graduated in December of 2002 from Northern Illinois University (NIU). My degree is in Electrical Engineering. While attending NIU I represented the university's baseball squad my freshman and sophomore year. After my student-athlete career was cut short due to a back injury I began to work at the Foreign Language computer lab. There I was able to utilize my ability to speak Spanish and computer skills to assist the students. My family is originally from Puerto Rico and Cuba but I was raised in Crystal Lake, Illinois. However, I have been fortunate enough to spend every Christmas in Puerto Rico with my family. I am very interested in Intellectual Property and hope to become a Patent Attorney.
